Purpose, Poured Daily
Some cafés serve coffee. Georgette's serves possibility. Named for our founder, Georgette Engler, our café carries forward a legacy that began with one simple belief: every person deserves the opportunity to belong, contribute, and thrive.
In 1950, Georgette and Roy Engler couldn't find the kind of care they wanted for their five children with developmental disabilities, so they built it from the ground up. That decision became Sunshine Children's Home. Today, it lives on as Sunshine Communities, supporting hundreds of people with developmental disabilities and their families across Northwest Ohio.
That same mission is poured into every cup at Georgette's.
Our café creates meaningful employment for people with developmental disabilities while serving locally roasted coffee, scratch-made breakfasts and lunches, event-ready platters, and our award-winning carrot cake. Whether you're meeting a friend, grabbing lunch, or brewing Georgette's at home, every purchase fuels life-changing opportunities.
Every Gathering Can Make a Difference
Some meals bring people together. Others leave a lasting impact.
Whether you're planning a corporate meeting, baby shower, birthday party, graduation, or family gathering, Georgette's offers fresh platters, scratch-made favorites, baked goods, and locally roasted coffee your guests will love. Looking for a place to host? Our café also offers rental space for private events.
Every order and every event helps create meaningful employment and fuels life-changing opportunities for people with developmental disabilities through Sunshine Communities.
